Click the Free Point button to place a single instance of the selected fixture. The first step when placing a fixture is to pick an Insertion Point. The insertion point is where the origin of the fixture will be placed. The origin point of a fixture is usually its lower left-hand corner.
Layout Designer provides users with snap points to facilitate the placement of intelligent objects. It facilitates the accurate placement of an object to a point such as endpoint, midpoint or intersection. There are three types of snap points: Intersection, Endpoint and Midpoint.
To align a fixture’s origin point with the endpoint or intersection of an intelligent object hover over the intelligent object’s endpoint or intersection until a snap point is displayed (a red square). Click on the snap point. The fixture origin point will be aligned to the snap point.

To align a fixture’s origin point with the midpoint of an intelligent object hover over the intelligent object’s midpoint until a snap point is displayed (a red triangle). Click on the snap point. The fixture origin point will be aligned to the snap point.

To place a fixture’s origin point on an exact point in the layout, enter the x, y and z coordinates on the command line and press ENTER.

After picking an insertion point, the next step is to pick a rotation for the fixture. Snap points can be used or a value can be entered on the command line. To place a fixture at an exact zero-degree angle, place the mouse cursor on the fixture’s lower right-hand corner, wait for a snap point to be displayed, and click on it.

Alternatively, you can enter a rotation angle on the command line.

Continue placing single instances of the selected fixture or press the ESC key to exit the fixture menu.
To place multiple instances of a fixture, select the fixture from the fixture hierarchy and click on Matrix button. The Matrix Panel will open.
.png)
Enter the number of fixtures for the first and second row and enter an offset between the fixtures and/or rows, if required. Enter the number of matrices required and an X and Y offset between them.
.png)
Click the check mark to place the fixtures on the floor plan. Use the placement modes explained above to place the matrices on the proposed store layout. Press ESC at any point to exit fixture placement mode.

To place a single instance of a fixture immediately adjacent to a fixture already placed on the layout, select the Adjacent mode. Click on the fixture in the layout which the new fixture should be placed adjacent to.
To place a single instance of a fixture at the back of a fixture already placed on the layout, select the Back mode. Click on the fixture in the layout which the new fixture should be placed at the back of.
To place a single instance of a fixture so the mid point of the new fixture aligns to the mid point of two selected points, select the Mid Point mode. Select the first point then a second point and finally click a third time in the direction the fixture should be placed. This mode can be used to place a fixture on the end of a gondola.
