Raising a New Query

There are two types of queries in Retail Viewer M: Object Related or General. Object Related queries are raised against intelligent objects inside of Retail Viewer M – planogram, store planogram, in-store tracker task, planogram audit, layout, zone location, fixture location or space location.

For further details on how to raise an object related query, refer to the respective user guide.

General queries can have a type, such as planograms, but are not linked to an object.

To raise a general query, select New from the left side panel inside of Query Tracker to open the query tracker form.

To assign contacts to the query click on To… and select one or more users and/or distribution groups. Use the Search button to search for users based on name, profile and/or store.

Use the Browse button to list users alphabetically. Click on a letter to display all options under the letter.

To add Distribution Groups, click on the Distribution Groups tab and selected those required.

See the Retail Viewer M Settings User Guide for details on how to create distribution groups.

Click the basket icon to edit the selection of users, if required.

Click on Add either from the basket or the Contacts panel to add users to the query.

Complete the remainder of the Query form. Fields with a red asterisk are mandatory.

A red number will appear on the Messages icon of the recipients of the query to notify them of a new message.

The Dashboard can be configured to include a summary of all the queries for the logged in user. For more information, see the Retail Viewer M Dashboard User Guide.
